We start with two layers of the finest quality cotton twill for superior strength, and finish with a fashionable decorative layer of quality fabric.
You'll find 26 spiral steel stays, a steel busk, and 6 flat steel bars in our corsets. These ensure stability, comfort, and strength.
1. Loosen the laces so there is enough slack to wrap the corset around your waist. Make sure the Timeless Trends label is at the top.
2. Hook the eyes in the front, starting with the 2nd eye and working your way down. When you reach the bottom, go back and hook the top eye last.
3. Remove slack in the lacing by pulling the loops located in the center of the corset. (This is where the lace does not criss-cross).
4. Now start tightening the 2nd from the top X and work your way down to the center. Repeat step 3. Then start tightening the 2nd from the bottom X working your way back up to the center. Repeat step 3.
5. Pull the center laces to tighten the corset and remove slack. Repeat step 4 until you've reached your desired fit.
6. Finally, tie the middle laces into a bow.
1. Untie the bow and loosen the laces so there is no pressure on the hooks.
2. Unhook the eyes, starting from the bottom and ending at the top. Then remove. *Do not try to remove the corset without loosening the lacing. This can damage the corset.
Tips:
Pantyhose: Avoid wearing pantyhose under your corset. They will be nearly impossible to pull down when the corset is laced tight. Try thigh-high stockings or a garter belt.
Bra: Corsets tend to push you up so bra straps will be looser and may fall down. Either adjust your straps or try a strapless bra.
Tops: While any style may be worn, thinner materials will work best under a corset.
Pants: If wearing pants or jeans, low-rise will be easier to remove. The pants will also be more flattering if they fit snugly in the hips.
Skirts: Fuller skirts will help to accentuate the hourglass look, while straight skirts will render a more slimming appearance.
Relacing: Our corsets are laced with 7 yards of lacing. To replace, bring the lace underneath at the top and come up through the first set of grommets. Make three sets of crossed Xs. The middle set of grommets will be used to form the loops for pulling and tightening your corset. Continue to make 3 more sets of crossed Xs. You should end up with the lacing going over and ending beneath the corset.
Caring for the busk: When putting on the corset, it is
important that you loosen the laces completely before closing the busk.
Otherwise, you will put too much pressure on the busk.
The same applies when removing the corset. Completely loosen the laces before
opening the front busk.
Cleaning: All of our corsets are dry clean only. If you order denim fabric, you may spot treat, but do not fully wash it.
Storage: Folding our corsets will not warp them. You may
also close the busks and hang our corsets on a skirt hanger, or simply slide
them over a clothes hanger.
